Thai Seat Cushion Meditation Flowers Light Green 50 x 50 cm

The large seat cushion was made in Thailand from 100 percent natural materials. The cover of the light green kapok cushion with Asian flower pattern is made of dyed cotton. The sustainable raw material kapok was used for the filling. Both natural materials have proven themselves for decades in Thailand for the production of Thai cushions and Thai mats. In Europe, too, kapok cushions, such as the large Thai cushion with Asian flower pattern, are enjoying increasing popularity.

Natural fibre kapok - sustainable filling material for Thai cushions
Kapok is an ecologically harmless and sustainable raw material. Kapok trees grow wild in tropical countries and are now also planted as useful trees. As a pioneer tree, the kapok tree is used for natural reforestation. The kapok fibre is obtained from the fruit of the kapok tree. No chemical processes are required to process the kapok fibre. Kapok is considered the lightest hollow fibre in the world, is heat insulating, breathable and moisture repellent. Optimal conditions for using the natural material as a filling material for seat cushions. In selected family businesses in Thailand, the large kapok seat cushion with Asia flower pattern is firmly filled and then sewn by hand. That is why the light green seat cushion does not need a zip or buttons.

The decorative cushion cover with Asia flower pattern was sewn from dyed cotton fabric. The seat of the 50 x 50 x 7 centimetre Thai cushion is decorated in the typical Asian design. Green and bright light green are the dominant colours of the kapok seat cushion. The lines are interrupted by an Asian flower pattern that looks like a large woven-in border. It lends elegance to the large Thai cushion.
